Greetings all,
Was not sure where to put this but if you have not downloaded and tried Musescore (Free- GPL software available for Windows, Mac OS and Linux), it would be worth your time. It is a combination Sheetmusic composing and sharing program (for the record, I have no affiliation with the project).
http://musescore.com/
Anyway, the reason for this thread- Musescore has the capability to play back songs but the built in "soundfonts" leave a lot to be desired. I got curious and decided to look for a way to improve that and found this youtube video containing instructions. The saxophone sound is still kind of crummy but overall- the sound has improved greatly!

Enjoy!
