Hi, I've owned a sax for a few years but haven't had time to learn to play - until now! Loving it! I've found a great teacher, very much into jazz/blues/improv - a huge difference to the classical style I was introduced to originally. Love this site - so much information. Looking forward to making up for lost time. Mandy (48, Sunny Scotland!)

Thanks for the welcome. I don't underestimate the classical side at all (brought up playing violin and piano in the '70s), but love the additional depth from other genres. Happy Saxing!

Hello Mandy, welcome to the cafe. There is a Saxophone Congress being held in Aberdeen his year. It is to run from Monday the 5th July to Sunday the 11th. They are expecting at least 120 saxophonists. Details at www.nsc2010.co.uk

Sounds like fun.

Jim.
