Oh god, what now? I've bought another one, and it's not a cheapy this time. Bauhaus Walstein baritone. I can't wait, it will be delivered to my abode this week. So, the question is, do I forewarn the lovely Mrs F, or just wait for her to see what the huge sax shaped parcel is when it arrives?:w00t:

Will have to shift some of my other stuff to make space for it. Actually just sold my fifty quid soprano, for rather more than I paid for it, but a soprano sized gap does not make space for a bari.

Hi jonf

Get a contrabass next, she would be impressed :=)

I think a lot of us tend to suffer from " GAS ". However you do tend to do well at selling on, and musical instruments are also very nice ornamentation to have around the old casa.

I remember a guy invoicing me for "Office Furniture" which took the form of a rather nice De-Armond X-155 Guitar.:welldone

Jon,
To save your marriage and as you pass this way every weekday, why not have it delivered to this address and I promeez, damn how do you spell it, primoss, that's not right, prmoze not to play it or let any CaSLM member play it.

*Kept my toes crossed whilst typing that so it doesn't count anyway. You don't think Jon will notice that and this, do you?*

Do not forewarn Mrs F. Neither but her flowers or chocolate in anticipation of the day. Pretend that that you know nothing about it, and that it must been sent to you as a publicity stunt. Then have a try of it. It'll sound so sweet that Mrs F will beg you to keep it.

I told her. She didn't bat an eyelid. At moments like this I understand why I married her.

Hey Jon, if it was that easy why not get a couple more while you are on a roll? You know you can never have enough saxes!

Regards, Mike

It's arrived!

Well, the BW baritone was delivered today. Excellent service from the seller (it was a used one). Mint condition, as described.

Gave it a quick blow. It's quite a horn. Rich and sonorous, and remarkably consistent in tone throughout the range. Great tone. Action is light and precise, almost as easy as playing a tenor. Apart, that is, for the weight around my neck. I'll get used to it. Thunderous low A.

What a beast:w00t::w00t::w00t:

Methinks this is going to cost you - hair do, new outfit, shoes.....

But you're a very lucky man!

Jon,
Just been contacted by telephone to see if we can up your life assurance to twenty million quid. A short while afterwards and I can swear it was the same female voice and telephone number, received an enquiry regarding CaSLM Contract charges.

Yes, I am a lucky man, but you're oh, so right, it is going to cost me. I've got a nasty feeling it might cost me something with diamonds in it.......
