I’ve cracked it; I’ve gone and done it

As a few of you are aware, I was having some issues with the Tenor Sax! I even went as far as changing it and ordering a mouthpiece or two. Well I haven’t played anything but the Tenor for a week and have been trying to get the crossover from the first to second octave perfect! Well, I’ve done it! Two days straight! Sound just right now! Do believe the change in horns helped, even if it was just my confidence!

I can go from Low Bb right up to High D in tune, with High E and High Eb being a slight hit and miss. High F# is well hopeless for now but I’m sure I’ll get that shortly 😀 Then I’ll have to figure out for Altissimo fingering!

Nice one! Don't forget that you will need to practice front high E and F as well before you really get going on altissimo (or consider them your first two altissimo fingerings).

Thanks Ian 😀 It was the front keys I was referring too. The D, E, Eb, F# in the third octave (I should have said). I agree that I need to get them of to a T before I start on the Altissimo.

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
