Hi Ian,

I don't know how to thank you for giving me this opportunity to embarrass myself.

Do you want me to list all the percussion items or just the total number in each category?

Chris

Here we go...

3 melodeons, several boxes of bits, a concertina and a big russian button accordion.
Several trumpets - I think about 4 - plus a rotary valve trombone with a bell that falls off :)))
One tenor and one soprano.
Quite restrained really!

Tenor sax
C Melody
Soon to be an alto as well
Casio DH100 digital sax
Keyboard
Piano
Steelstring guitar
Squeeze box
Fife
2 recorders
2 melodicas
penny wistle
2 mouth organs
Yamaha qy20 sequencer

I think that is it

Confession time!:w00t:

3 Saxes (S,A & T).
3 Trumpets.
1 Short Cornet.
2 Long Cornets.
1 Flugelhorn.
1 Trombone.
1 Bass Guitar.
1 Piano.

I tend to focus on no more than 2 or 3 at a time. Currently having a sax sabbatical so playing Trombone, Long Cornet & Trumpet. Usually mess about with some others in the course of a week.
My main target at the moment is to learn trombone, and get to grade 5 standard in 2 years:shocked:

My favourites are Alto Sax and Long Cornet.
Kind regards
Tom:cool:

Oh dear!

Two soprano saxes
Alto sax
C Mel sax
Two tenor saxes
Baritone sax
Clarinet
Flute
Piano
Fife
Blues harps (dunno how many)

Probably some recorders and peny whistles kicking about the house as well.

Gulp!

instant reaction was "not many", and then I started to think about it...

2 x Alto (that I play)
2 x Alto (for restoration - yes Saxlicker, it's those two!!!)
2 x Alto (that I loan to students)
1 x Tenor (for restoration - or sale - I'm unlikely to restore it as I have no desire to play it)
1 x flute (that I'm playing more as I've just started a trio in which it fits really well)
1 x harmonica (for fun only)
1 x keyboard (for fun, and experimenting with chords and transcriptions)

(can I add my sons 3 x guitars, and daughters recorder)

crikey...

Phil

Too many ,,,, The last years I've sold some and in the future I'm going to keep my Martin saxes. But when I sell a sax the buyer often had an instrument for trade .... !!

Saxes:
1 C-soprano
3 Bb sopranos
6 altos
1 C-melody
6 tenors
2 baris

Other instruments that I share with my family:
1 flute
1 basson
2 clarinets
1 alto valve trombone
1 tenor trombone
1 drumset
1 bass
1 piano
1 keyboard
1 semi acustic guitar

Thomas

3 saxes (S,A,T)
1 Yamaha Flute
1 Fender acoustic guitar
1 Burns electric guitar
1 Classical guitar
1 Mandolin
1 Accordion
1 Westone Bass
loads of harmonicas
several tim whistles
1 Overton low whistle
1 Musical saw
couple of Jaw harps..... if they count(?)

2 x Altos
1 x Sop
1 x Tenor
2 x Oboes
2 x Accoustic guitars
1 x electric guitar
1 x recorder
1 x keyboard

In the house we have a flute but I play a beer bottle better!

In the house I am looking after a Baritone Sax.

I borrow a bass guitar and drums if ever needed.

I have a voice - although my wife sometimes wishes I didn't. :)

5 Guitars (1 classical, 1 jumbo, 2 electric, 1 bass guitar) also a wrecked Ovation copy waiting for some TLC which doesn't really count (yet!).
1 Upright Piano
3 ancient Casio keyboards (2 ok for a bit of MIDI, whereas the third is tiny, battery operated and only covers 2.5 octaves but fine for working out melodies).
1 collection of blues harps (two boxes, keeping the note-benders separate from those that don't!)
1 Alto Sax
1 Trumpet
1 Bugle
1 Clarinet
1 recorder
1 assortment of percussive things (tambourine, flamenco cajòn, maracas although drum loops on my BOSS gizmo do a far better job).

So I make that 16 without counting the harp and percussion things as 'multiples'.

I have an original Moog synthesiser
A Minimoog
Yamaha DX7 & CS80 synths
ARP 2600

The above are software instruments (you think I'm rich?)

My trusty old Casio CTK-611 keyboard
AKAI CD3000 & S950 samplers

Tenor sax
Jews/Jaws Harp
Kazoo
pursed lips

;}

1 alto sax - started on this but don't play it at the moment
1 tenor sax - my main instrument
1 soprano sax which I try to play now and then
1 clarinet (from Netto) which I would like to play but find the fingering difficult
2 Xaphoons (1 acquired inadvertently) - don't play these
1 ukulele which I have just bought and am now trying to learn
1 violin - from my youth but can't bear to part with it as I hope to have another go at it someday. Needs a new bow.

right, at the last count it was....

1x Bari sax
1x Tenor Sax
1x Alto Sax
1x Oboe
1x Flute
1x Trombone
1x Electric Guitar

Also in the house we have 2x trumpets, another tenor sax, A french horn, another guitar and another flute and a double bass.

Not sure where they have all come from really, Ebay for the majority I suppose, Damn that website:)))

This is giving me plenty of ammo to fight the "get another saxophone campaign"
Compared to you lot I've got nuthin.
Sue still says one in one out ( musical instruments that is) although it does remind me of when she left our Kate on the bus during breastfeeding. We got her back from the depot.

Did have a double bass till a few months ago - now that did take up some serious space.......
