I absolutely love this solo at 1:25 which to me sounds as though after tens seconds of contact with reality he/she blows a fuse and goes stratospheric with complete disregard to the tune/tempo/rhythm

It makes me smile each time I hear it

What do you think was going through the saxophonists head?

I have not listened to much Latin jazz and do not know enough about music to comment on tune/tempo/ rhythm but I enjoyed it.
