Thank you, I hope to learn more about this beautiful instrument here.Welcome to the Café, Maggi. 🎷
i have three different Amati tenor models :-What is the brand, model of your sax, mouthpiece and strength of reeds?
You have a very nice array of saxophones, @Magdi . I am unfamiliar with Amati as they seem rarer here in southwest US. For example, two major on-line stores, Musician's Friend and Sweetwater do not offer them. Otherwise I have heard favourable comments about them.i have three different Amati tenor models :-
Amati super classic tenor
Amati deluxe tenor Silver plated
Amati ATS 61 tenor
One Kielwerth toneking. Tenor silverplated
One Amati Aas 32 alt saxophone
Mouthpieces , I have a punch of metal and eboniet mouthpieces, but my favorite for the tenor is Durga 7 and voor alt vandoeren A45, reed 2,5 vandoeren zz or vandoeren v16.
Thank you for your interest
Kind regards Magdi Victor
Thank you for sharing this, when I have some free time I will make some photos of my saxophones, mouthpieces and ligitures collection that I have gathered through the years. You have a very nice array of saxophones, @Magdi . I have gained in addition to alto and tenor, a Venus straight Soprano and two Baritone saxes, Antigua Winds low A (made in Taiwan) and early 1950's Le Blanc Beaugnier Vito low Bb (made in France), several Bb clarinets in wood (Boosey & Hawkes Edgware's from England) and ebonite, a plastic Venus Eb sopranino clarinet, and a 1960's Artley Flute. (I started clarinet in 1965.)
The Venus Soprano is one Chinese made sax that overall received very favourable comments compared with other budget makes. This is why I purchased one 10 years ago. It plays like an intermediate. With a Rico Royal Graftonite B5 mouthpiece and softer reeds, it is a sweet sax, plays jazz well, I've been totally happy with it.
You have a nice set of mouthpieces, too.
We as an on-line community are more like a family here, so I look forward to your future posts.
