I sometimes think Hendrix could have benefitted from Monks advice, mentioned in another thread: "don't play everything". He has all these intreresting ideas, but for me it just comes out as a disorganised jumble.

He might have done that if he'd lived longer. I think he just had too much to say... But jumble or not, it made him one of the most important rock guitarists. And he broke a lot of new ground.
