Howarths of London have the DC's on sale I think.

Not currently - they are £37. Howarth have some soprano and alto reeds at reduced cost. They charge P&P at £1.55, normally.

I also use Alexander Superial DC 2.5 reeds on tenor with a Vandoren optimum TL3 mpc/lig and get a nice rich dark tone with them. Although they are more expensive, I've never had to throw any out, every one is usable.

That's good to know, I should be having them delivered later with a bit of luck, I do hope there is less wastage than with the Vandoren reeds.
