I need some help in selecting the appropriate backing track for
Summertime, First a little background.

I'm now about 15 months into my Alto sax journey and feel I'm making
progress, albeit not as fast as I would like.
In addition to the slog of working through the, the scales, exercises
and etudes set by my tutor I have enjoyed a bit of off piste home
work of my own. Currently, this involved getting to grips with
Summertime. The arrangement for Alto that I'm using(downloaded from
sheet music direct),is a lightly swung version in A major. I have more or
less got to grips with this arrangement and I would now like to play
along with a backing track. This is where I need guidance. I have looked
on the web and there are various backing tracks on offer, but I am
somewhat confused as to what to select. I’m sure one of our maestros
know the arrangement I'm using and if so,I would be grateful
for advice and indeed, even better if you could point me in in the
direction of where I might find the appropriate backing track.

Many thanks for your help

Guys,

Summertime is one of my favourite pieces for just messing around with at the moment. There's a backing track on iRealB but to be honest I've not been inspired by those tracks at all as yet. Any chance you could point me in the direction of a better one?

Cheers,

there are more than a dozen on youtube. search for "summertime" and "playalong" or "play along" or "backing track" or "karaoke" etc...

Thanks - found one and really enjoyed it.

Big thanks to to Chris for helping me out with another great one.

Got a 3rd from the IRealB app so had loads of fun improvising over all 3 last night (separately!)

By the way, I said above that I wasn't inspired by the iRealB backing tracks, but once I'd got it into Audacity and started improvising over it I actually found it pretty good and really enjoyed the result.
