well,
I had some time today so I thought I'd visit a few other saxophone sites. I've known Pete for years on SOTW and never really spent too much time here. I thought I'd visit the forum here and see what's going on.

Well, don't worry, Mike (saxismysaxe) may be along in a minute.

For those that don't know Steve, his website is a "mustvisit"

A big hello and welcome from a foreign City!

Don't feel like a stranger, not here! Just relax and feel right at home. (I'm Tazonsax on SOTW, but I don't contribute much over there. It's all bit overwhelming)

Hi and welcome to the cafe. I frequent this foreign city, but never visit SOTW so you won't know me...

Welcome. I'm Dooce over there as well, but so far haven't ventured far out of the safe waters of the Cannonball "fan club" forum. I look forward to visiting your site - if PT recommends it, it must be good.

Hi Steve,

I'm Tonezone on SOTW. I've used your site lots in the past and have bought some of your video lessons, which I think are very accessable. I'll be buying more in the future but have enough to work on right now!

Ps: I was looking forward to hearing your rendition of Half Nelson on TOTM - didn't happen?

Josh.

Nope, I've got my hands full with some ongoing medical issues that are messing with me. I'm on pain killers half the nights(like right now) until I can get this thing sorted out. The thought of playing Half Nelson is pretty low on the priority list right now.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I just got home from teaching all day. Went to SOTW saw nothing of interest then cam here. Maybe this will be my new habit............

Welcome Steve,
I've scene your web site, most impressive, glad to have you aboard, sorry to hear of the pain killers problem, I presume that is sax related maybe someone on this forum may be able to offer help!? Sometimes alternative remedies, however weird and far out, do actually work. You are correct in wanting to get of painkillers.
Cheers & ciao

Hey Steve,

I'm on your website just about every day! I just registered for this forum too. I've been using saxontheweb for some time, but after visiting Pete's website for information I thought this would be a good chat forum to belong to.

Yeah, I wish I could get the medical process to move faster over here. It was the same way back in 94-95. I had incredibly bad migraines and kept going to specialist after specialist with no answer. My doctor finally gave me vicodin for the pain which was good at first but then when I had to stop it was a major pain! They finally figured out the problem and put a shunt in my head to keep the pressure down. Now I have another situation and I'm going to doctor after doctor. It takes forever. I just want it fixed if you know what I mean........Anyways, thanks for the thoughts and well wishes.

Hi Steve, from the Skabertawe Button Free Tenor Sax Collective, down 'ere in Wales!

My last connection with SOTW is purchasing a mouthpiece of Phil Barone. If SOTW is the "Wikipedia" of the sax world, Cafe Sax is the "Old Moore's Almanack", and all the better for it.
I hope you enjoy your visits here.

Kind regards
Tom:cool:

Welcome Steve from Nanaimo BC, town where Diana Krall and such great players as Phil Dwyer (sax) and Ingrid Jensen (Trumpet) come from!!!
Enjoyed your web site and your playing.
