Hello,
I've mainly been a clarinetist, but I've played a bit of sax over the years. I recently retired, and now I'm working hard on my sax playing, mainly tenor, but playing the alto and soprano, too. The challenge on the tenor for me has been the low notes from F down to Bb, but I'm getting there! That's the trouble with having a clarinet embouchure...... Great forum, thanks.

if the horn is in good working order, try shoving more of the mouthpiece in your mouth, perhaps moving your lower jaw forwards a bit and/or “thinking” the note

welcome to the cafe
