hello from Egham

Hi,
I'm chris, I'm an adult beginner, been playing about 5 months. I enjoy noodling around, but I'm trying to get good at the more technical aspects too (couldn't read music when I started, can sight read v simple things now).

Really enjoying the sax, looking to buy my own soon.

I'm playing a tenor because I like the rich sound, and bari is too scary!!

Well, I'm a girl so there's a limit to how butch I can look! Probably . I do think altos look a bit out of proportion though .

Royal Holloway is one of those landmark places I always note when I go off the M25 on to the M3. There's a big conference centre in Egham as well - I organised an event there years ago.

When I was an undergraduate at Royal Holloway we always thought it was a great laugh to wander into the Ferrari shop at the bottom of the hill and pretend we were bone fide customers. They could spot us as students at 300 paces, so not much luck with getting a test drive. Still, did we laugh at some of the creative different ways the salesmen would find to tell us to "f@@K Off"))
