I'm a longtime pro flutist who used to play saxophone as a kid. (A little clarinet, too.) I studied with Harold Bennett in high school and then at the Manhattan School of Music. Then I transferred to the Juilliard School to study with Arthur Lora. After graduating from Juilliard, I played 3rd flute & piccolo in the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. More recently, I served as 2nd flute in the Asheville (NC) Symphony Orchestra for 14 years. I retired from symphony-type playing and I'm getting back to having fun on alto Saxophone. I'm a flute maker (the Lopatin SquareONE flute) and I do flute repair. Probably soon start doing sax COAs too. Maybe, I'll build a SquareONE sax as well!
