I'm going for my grade 1 soon (ABRSM). I don't have a problem with the scales and arpeggios. I can do upto grade 3 in scales and arpeggios, it's the sight reading I'm bothered about. Does anyone know what the music is and or what else is involved?
A week on MOnday I am taking my Grade 5 tenor ABRSM exam and the sight reading is usually 2 lines of music that is at the desired grade. If you get the sight reading ABRSM book for alto or tenor then you will have plently to practice.
Best of luck (I am still struggling with scalea dn remembering them all - must be my age!)
Good luck mate. I'm now thinking I might go streight for the grade 3. I have purchesed the book you said from the ABRSM. I'm looking forward to getting my teeth into it. Let me know how you got on next week.
