Glissandi - F# to D

half diminished

I'm working on 'Your latest Trick' at the moment and it's gone pretty well. Obviously there an F# to D gliss' and I am struggling with it.

Using 'middle finger' F# I cannot get a smooth/fast transition to F and the E, Eb D is not so easy but I find it impossible after using the side F# key.

For another piece I mastered B, Bb, A, Ab,G, F#, F after a lot of practice and breaking it down in stages. I'm now pretty fast and it sounds OK but the F# to D eludes me.

Which fingering and which notes - advice welcome.

You and your fancy Glissandi...I'm happy to remember where the notes are never mind travelling between them!
Well done by the way on working it out, you tackle some pretty scary stuff (to me anyway) - you going to post the resulting sound bite?

Love all this stuff. The ones I want are the ones down to low Bb and that go over the 'break'. Can't help it see, brought up on the likes of Baker Street.

I would get around to it but having some Mac problems at the moment that are taking all of my time to NOT resolve!

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
