I posted this on IOTM already but i would like to share it with others who may not look at the IOTM as i think it would be good to try and "lure" some of you nice people out here to join us on the IOTM thread.
about the IOTM, i am trying to pass on some of my idea's and thoughts behind my way of improvisation and hoping that people can take something out of my way of playing.
here is my version of "Georgia"

youtube, Ian Trewhella's version of georgia:

Nice playing there Ian, wish you could lure me in, I don't need a sax teacher I need "a how to record stuff teacher" so bloody frustrating, have managed to record stuff but sax sounds awful and so much background noise, one day, one day!

maybe i can talk you through how to record the sax to get a sound like mine, not saying mine is great but is more than adequate for a home studio mix.
maybe via skype

I have similar problems I can't believe I can sound as bad as I do when I record myself it always sounds fine when I have it bouncing back at me off a wall but hit the record button and it all goes to hell.

Loved your Georgia Ian very nice indeed ......John

Thanks for the nice feedback...
same applies to you as i said to Fraser, if you wish i can talk you through the recording process on skype and maybe give you a few recording tips sir! (if you have not got skype it is free to download and you can do free video calls)

Very generous offer Ian but I might have more problems with the Skype than I do with the recording, I've had it installed for years and never figured out how to use it, couldn't get the mic to work with it ....John
