This isn't for sale as such so I thought I could post here - apologies if that's inappropriate.
I have been happy with Vandoren Java Jazz (Red) reeds but got really frustrated at the inconsistency between them. So as an experiment, I thought I'd try a synthetic reed and bought a Hahn in strength 3.

To cut a long story short, it's not my cup of tea at all; it's nice and bright but I find I "lose" too much air and also that soft attacks are difficult down the register.
The reed was just shy of £15 from sax.co.uk, and obviously there was postage on top of that, but I don't want anything for it. If anyone fancies trying a synthetic tenor reed and is a bit short on cash, you can pm me and I'll chuck it in the post. It's only been used a couple of times and will be posted in a Rico reed holder or similar (I chucked the paper packaging away). If you like it and you feel like doing so, you could donate a couple of £s to Pete's wonderful charity.
Cheers,
Pete
