I have decided to run a special promotion for teachers (and possibly other interested players).Basically I can supply discount packs of materials (Midnight Playalongs, Taming The Saxophone etc.) for teachers which you can either sell on to your students at a profit, or pass on the discount. Anyone who is interested needs to sign up to my teachers mailing list, and this will automatically enter you for a prize draw: free CDs, books, playalongs to be won. No obligation to buy anything, and you won't be spammed: this will be a very occasional newsletter about new resources and news.

See here:http://tamingthesaxophone.com/saxophone-teachers.html

If people other than teachers want to take part, e.g. as a "group buy" then this is possible but you must all be established and participating Cafe saxophone members.

Quite interesting. I am going to start the second term this week and they will need at least a book.
Could you please send me a link with your recommendation for absolute beginners (aged 11)

All I have for absolute beginners at the moment is the DVD:

and the scales and chords PDF:

The Midnight Playalongs are good for slightly experienced beginners, but it has been pointed out to me that the artwork on the Midnight in the Naked City CD from which the playa longs are derived, contains images that some schools may not approve of.

Thank you Pete. I still have to find the right book for my pupils... For the moment being I still write everything for them.
Maybe I should organize my sketches.

Nothing new...

from Wikipedia:

Daniele Ricciarelli (c. 1509 – April 4, 1566), better known as Daniele da Volterra, was an Italian mannerist painter and sculptor.
He is best remembered for his association, for better or worse, with the late Michelangelo. Several of Daniele's most important works were based on designs made for that purpose by Michelangelo. After Michelangelo's death Daniele was hired to cover the genitals in his Last Judgment with vestments and loincloths. This earned him the nickname "Il Braghettone" ("the breeches maker").
