For Sale: Rampone & Cazzani "Two Voices" Tenor

You can't keep hankering after these saxs in the yard sale, you will have to bite the bullet one day.;}

Jx

I bought MMM's bari last year. That cost me a lot of brownie points at home... I was so close to going for Milandro's sop, but fortunately someone bought it just as I was giving in to temptation.

If you look at the pics on the Thomann website (Rampone & Cazzani 2008/TV/BRS Two Voices) you'll see the same mark on the bell

Also, on the sax.co.uk website (http://www.sax.co.uk/acatalog/Rampone---Cazzani-R1-Jazz--Two-Voices--Tenor---Solid-Silver-Bronze-226141795.html) if you use the zoom tool you'll see that same mark. I'd be interested to know the technical reason for this mark?? Anybody?

Regards, Dave.

PS: the only ebay interest was from abroad.

There has to be someone who wants this and can pay what it's worth. They would have got a hell of a bargain at 3500.

I have a Yanagisawa T9932J [Solid Silver neck and bell] ...

There is no sign of any join or flaw on either, although I am sure there is one ...

In my eyes - the picture of your bell shows a distinct flaw, which should not be there ...

Its likely it occurred during the manufacture process and in my view should not have been introduced to the retail outlet in that condition unless it was discounted ...

But hey ...

That's just my opinion ...

I'm not sure how the solid silver is joined ? solder ? braze? anyone know??

AFAIK should be silver soldered, but I don't know the actual R&C procedure. And the English terminology.

The picture on the Thomann website shows the same. It really seems like a "normal" thing.
If I had the money, it would not put me off. I had a crash on R&C horns, a couple of years ago, and their rough look is wonderful. Completely different from Yanagisawa aim to perfection. After all they are Italian. Perfection seldom belongs there.

Yes, both the Thomann and the Sax.co.uk websites show the same mark. It would be interesting to hear if Pete's has the same.
