For Sale: Rampone & Cazzani "Two Voices" Tenor

Dave Mac

Honest, I'm Trying
For sale: my Rampone & Cazzani “Two Voices” Tenor. Bought from Sax.co.uk several months ago whilst in an affluent state after a couple of years expat work in Qatar. Although the sax is a beautiful instrument, I just haven't got on with the ergonomics of it, and prefer my P.Mauriat SMXT

For a full specification of this beautiful instrument, go to the sax.co.uk site: http://www.sax.co.uk/acatalog/Rampone---Cazzani-R1-Jazz--Two-Voices--Tenor---Solid-Silver-Bronze-226141795.html

I am not a gigging musician and this horn has not left my music room since I bought it. It is in pristine condition having only been played about 2 hours per week. Gorgeous instrument with solid silver bell, beautifully engraved. Has unusual olive wood touchpieces

Bought in July 2012 for £5740 (RRP £8108) and will come with everything supplied at purchase: R&C Deluxe mouthpiece, lig and cap; R&C sling; R&C strap; R&C cleaning cloth, pull-throughs (neck and body). All accommodated inside a beautiful, brown leather, fitted R&C case - which is a work of art in its own right! It also comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity from the manufacturers in Quarna Sotto, Italy.

I'm offering this hardly used instrument for £4500 (5% to Pete's charity) and I will pay 1st class Royal Mail Parcel Post to UK address. Will consider interesting offers.

I'll leave this on this site for approx 1 week then post it on ebay. If it doesn't fetch the price then I guess I'll continue to have a rather gorgeous (and expensive) showpiece in my music room.

OT: with a proper setup/overhaul (and probably a more open neck), this one blows away every Taiwan-made tenor: guaranteed!
The ergonomics (subjective) issues can be fixed.

Just looked at the ebay pics, whats that on the picture with the bell engraving? looks like blood??

Hi,
not blood (serious?) no. Don't know the technical term would be, but it looks like tarnish (the bell is solid silver) where the seam was hammered?? It was how it was received from Sax.co.uk.

By the way, as I 1st advertised this here, if it sells on ebay I will make a donation to Pete's charity.

Regards, Dave.
