pete, I just found an old link on SOTW where you put up a recording you made on a maplins Tie pin type microphone, it sounded superb, especially when you consider the price....do you still have this mic and if so do you have a part no. or type.

it sounds pretty amazing....i`ve looked on maplins and they seems to be a couple of mics it could be but they are only around £20 each....for that price they are worth a try surely. i`d just like to know which model pete used.

The mic is a Realistic 33-1063 Electret Tie Pin Microphone. (Tandy/Radio Shack). I'm not sure a modern Maplins one would be the same or not.
