Eyup from sunny Sheffield

I have been playing for 20 years. I have several tenors an alto and a very cute Yanagisawa curvy soprano. Tenor is my main instrument.

I've been involved in some other sax forums but they can be a little american-biased so thought this forum would maybe suit better.

Thats it really!

Cheers

Thanks for the very warm welcome folks!
I meant to add that after 20 years I should be a lot better than I am. I am an enthusiastic amateur musician with no pretensions to be a pro - I just enjoy playing.

I have however during that time had the benefit of being taught by some really great players both saxophone and otherwise so happy to pass any knowledge I have gained on, even if I cant put it into practice myself :)

'eyup Saxom - there are quite a few Tykes here. I spent about 20 yrs in Sheffield including 6 happy years at uni. on Western Bank - always lives around the Crookes, Walkley' Broomhill and then worked over Gleadless way. It's the only place in the world where male bus conductors call other blokes 'luv'. Great place.
Welcome.

Nah then just had to reply to this post.

I was born in Sheffield but now living on't wet side of the Pennines. (not treally got much of an accent anymore) but most of the family still over there and for years it still felt like going home when we visited.

Sheffield does seem to engender a sense of home for many people who come here and then stop. I've been here for 20 years now live just of Ecclesall road by the botanical gardens if you know the area. Born in west yorkshire tho so I am still an immigrant to the socialist rebublic of south yorkshire.
