Saxophones English top of the range sax - but not a "bargain"

A little research tells me this was their top of the range model back in the day. Late forties I believe, from the S/N.

Anyone tried one? AT £254 with 4 hours to go it's already too much for a stumble into the unknown, but they seem very well regarded by those who own one, judging by the (few) comments here and there.

At 1952 is it definitely low pitch?

Low Pitch came in around 1914 so I'd have thought there would have been no question.

Lets face it , it`s a B&H (UK Horn in the UK) so I also doubt it`d be high pitch being made in 1952

I doubted it too. High pitch saxes were still being made up to the 30s but I didn't know when they finally finished.

The description in the advert is so crap I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. No way of knowing whether it's a player or a money pit.
