Dry Mouth

I have just received an alto sax as a gift. I have not played in many (many) years. I currently use Biotene products for my dry mouth and my question is:

Will the Biotene products harm the sax? If so, what should I do to combat my dry mouth and still play safely?

Thanks.

I am a retired physician not a chemist but having looked up the ingredients I cannot imagine any of the harming you sax . The amount of these , if any, getting into your sax will be miniscule .
Those with a knowledge of sax maintenance and chemistry may have different ideas and /or experience.
