no problem with apologies...i have bought two copies can't find the right one...

I was wondering if the female part would be a key change?? and if anyone had a copy or could point me in the right direction...Could I use the andrews sisters version and blend together......

Eddie

What is it that you are trying to do? If it is a key change, you don‘t need a new chart.

Hi thanks @Dr G.. As you may be able to tell from my other posts sometimes I have difficulty explaining things 🙂...There are a few versions of this song inc the Andrews sisters..This is the one I want to play...

(also above)

I have found a few scores but the words are different in the chorus with Marion Hutton singing...the notes seem the same...The version I have bought is below...I didn't know whether the parts she sung although exactly the same would be a key change or if I could take the original up an octave or 2 by just changing the notes.... Ialso found this

Why does the version matter?
Are you planning to play along with the Youtube recording?
Hi @nigeld...yes I have a programme that takes the MP3 out of the video...i use that as a backing track as I don't need internet connection...I find the words useful for timing until Ive learnt music...I also prefer that version...

If you want to play along with the singers in the Glenn Miller version then you need a transcription of that version that has been transposed for saxophone. I very much doubt that this exists. I think there are people you can pay to do it if you really want it.

Getting a full-score version with a vocal part isn't particularly useful for playing because it will be many pages long and the melody will be written in concert pitch. A jazz lead sheet would be better.

My recommendation would be to choose tunes where backing track and notes are available.

Darn..... I dont know where the one I purchased went I had the PDF here...I was just thinking that its quite a repetative.....i know what you mean but i would like to try this. must be able to bastardise it..... trouble is I don't pick the songs they kind of pick me..the one below has been transposed from F major for piano to g..The words arent all the same but chorus and verse similar...The only trouble I can see is the female part...

You could try going to musicroom or go online and buy saxophone books with the backing track included as Nigel has said or you could use the app iReal Pro where there is lots of backing tracks on the forum to download and you can change the key and the tempo at will.

There was an attachment (which is what you purchased) so according to the publisher must not be re-distributed. We would get in trouble for having that publically available.

Thanks @jazzdoh....getting the backing tracks not an issue with 4k you tube converter i can get the Andrews sister version. I was just wondering if I could get the version I want to play 🙂 ....I am going to have a look at anthem score but it seemed quite a simple song so I was wondering whether I could use the one I had transposed to G and up the notes on the female verse..

I am not familiar with the 4K Youtube converter so can you change key and tempo with this.

Hi @jazzdoh...no it just extracts the MP3 from the video...Its difficult plying online at the hall..The connection is bad this way i can just play of my tablet..I also bought the album so could burn a copy but 4k you tube is easier. I then buy the score transcribe and download to mobile sheets so I have the score and backing track on my windows tablet..

You would have to ask the copyright holder for any permissions to publically post it. The pdf you posted says it’s specifically for your use.
