That was just a fuzz/wah plugin in Logic and it was applied to the track after recording. If you were doing it live you would need a pickup rather than a mic I think and then a wah wah and fuzz box.

I remember I had a barcus bug on my Berg in the 80`s and I could use Wah live and jump about the stage 🙂 It was OK but now I just wish I could have a good Sax sound ... funny how things change over the years🙂
