I'm looking for a baritone in either playing condition or in need of restoration. If in need of work, no objection to leaking pads, dents, resolders, worn lacquer/plating or even missing neck. Keilwerth ToneKing would be of interest but most other professional makes (except Selmer) late '30's - '60's, also considered. If you have something, please send me a PM. Thank you.

I have a mid 1930's (??) Pennsylvania baritone sax, A=440Hz , keyed high F to low Bb, good immediate playing order, original neck & new spare neck, original hard case, no mouthpiece (but have Otto Link to loan for a trial). Made by Kohlert, iirc, in Czechoslovakia. has been relacquered, lacquer is a bit scabby here & there, a few light dings & resolders, all rolled tone holes in good condition, monster sound, eminently playable.

I've just bought one of them. They play absolutely fantastically, absolutely belting sound.

great old Czech baritone, made by Koelhert factory, this one's probably pre-war,
rolled tone holes like the Conns, has the BIG sound too 🙂
A few light dings, some solder repairs.
Some missing lacquer, particularly near a previous repair on lower-back of body tube,
but very presentable & nice Art-Deco engraving on bell.
in good immediate playing order, with case,[ but NO MOUTHPIECE ]
Original neck & hard case - case is very usable & heavy ;-)
Keyed low Bb to high F, modern 'low' pitch A=440 Hz

asking £650, includes tracked courier to UK, other locations at cost.
[Or spend £11,500 on a new Yanagisawa if you want to :w00t:.....]

Why am I selling ?
a/ i have too many saxes & need to specialise in tenor/sop/clarinet, and
b/ i bought myself another Pennsylvania special bari, in Silver plate ;-) - I don't need TWO

more images and sound clips soon, any trial in 'sunny' Glasgow, I have an Otto Link mpc you can borrow, or bring your own. Pm me with questions, offers, or ask for my tel number, or reply here...
