"Daddy, is your saxophone damaged"?

Please allow me to give a little background information. My daughter and I have a great relationship. We are open and discuss all topics (food, feelings, education, sex, love, religion, money). Every couple of years, I work on reinventing the way we communicate with each other.
Today, I was working on a new song and asked my daughter for her opinion. I respect her honest opinion and suggestions.
She said, "Daddy, is your saxophone damaged or reed too hard because your face looks like you have a serious constipation problem"?
The evidence was in her video.
I won't be working on songs, scales, improvisation, tone, or any of that other fun stuff. I'll be working on playing the saxophone without having constipated facial expressions.
NOTE: The excessive wrinkles and eye bags aren't going anywhere.

For those who have said here that you can "use rubber bands as a ligature", why would it matter as long as it holds the reed in place?

I thought rovners could be used either way?

You could, but they didn't design them thus. Many BG ligs have inserts. I never tried them "upside down" - might sound the same.. but they will certainly do a great job of holding the reed still either way up.
