Eugh.
Soloed for the first time on Friday night. Harlem Nocturne. All was going swimmingly until I thought to myself 'Hmm. I hope I can hit that high G at the end.'

Have a guess what happened. :(

I have seen it happening to Michael Brecker too
 
Just cos you're playing a Nocturne no need to go into the range of bats.

It happens.

I'm thinking Michael Brecker could probably recover slightly more smoothly than I did.

But it's good for you. You've got to make mistakes to learn how to avoid them.
 
I completely agree with Littlewailer. Mistakes can serve as inspiration to practice or as learning moments. As painful as it is, there is always another chance and a way to improve!
