Microphones Clip on mic? For Smart Music Software.

I've subscribed to a years worth of the Smart Music software, and have agreed to be a guinea pig for a Smart Music tutor in Kent. There will also be some Skpe lessons involved.

ive used the laptop mic for the first few submissions, it it can't be very satisfactory...... So can anyone recommend a clip on mic for use with Smart Music, and other stuff?

I saw some discussion here about a Samson Go amicable, but it doesn't look like a clip on.

Ill also need a webcam, and am leaning towards the Logitech C310 unless anyone can suggest something better at around £25.

Depends on what you want to clip it on, the Samson Go Mic does come with a metal clip that clips on the edge of the laptop: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JXip85jPfs at 1:33. Thanks for ue input Tim. I think it was your discussion that introduced me to the Smson.

I was thinking of a quite small mic that clips onto the bell of the sax. I like the look of the Samson, and may go that way, but want to investigate the options first.

Im pretty sure I've seen Smart Music discussed here, so those using it will have faced this decision and might have some alternative suggestions.

Smart Music do themselves market a USB mic which is just right for using with Smart Music.
I purchased one and find it no problem.

Hi,

I went through the process of buying a normal mic from them at $19.99, but gave up when they added almost $40 for postage. Did you just pay whatever it was they asked? How long did it take to arrive? Or is there a UK shop with UK postage?

I suppose it would be about the same as a Samson Go, but I have a mental block with regards to paying tens of dollars of postage, when stuff comes from China for pennies, post free.

I can't actually remember where/when I purchase it, but like you I would not have paid $40 for postage.
All I know is I got it from Smart Music.
I will try and find the paperwork that came with it, can't be more than 12 months ago. I will let you know if I do find anything.

Hi,
Just like to confirm I bought my USB mic direct from SM on 9th Oct last year and it cost me $29.95. +. $7.95 postage.
I thought that was reasonable.
