Wanted, Case for my Grassi 2000 Pro Tenor. Don't like the hard shell "Berkeley of London" case it came in.

Sax has "modern" keywork in that the the bell key rods run along the centre of the sax rather than the outside.

Must have a shaped/padded cutout to hold the crook and another for the mouthpiece, as per modern backpack style cases or Yamaha cases.

What have you got going spare???

I use the standard ABS case that comes with the sax. The alto one is ok but the tenor one is the same design but bigger and it feels a little insecure. It could do with three clasps not the standard two.

The blue one looks good. It has the compartments you want inside and an outside pocket for stuff. Nice wide padded shoulder straps and feet on the bottom. Fair price too.

That`s the problem with modern refuse collection, in the 70s all you had to do was go down to the local tip and rummage around until you found something which looked OK, open it up to check for rats, throw out the mouldy Buffet SDA languishing inside , give the tramp kipping in the old fridge a Roll-up and back home to leave the case to air out on the grass in the Summer sun whilst sitting in a stripey deckchair listening to Wizzard making serious Bari Sax noises on the tranny ..

I never could fathom out how to erect those deck chairs?
 
I love it, talk about diverse, it has went from wanting a tenor case to deckchairs! hahaha

happy hunting for the case if i hear anything i will PM you.

Well you put them in the neck, bits and bobs compartment like in the listings picture, by the way its MY case !!!!!

Thanks for the offer Dave.

What do we think of Yamaha hard grey cases? The only problem is making sure the lid IS shut before lifting it up as the catches can be closed with the lid slightly ajar. Apart from that, would one make a good home for the Grassi?

I've had 2 of them for Yamaha altos. Not a fan as like you say the 2 long catches are dodgy. They looked closed at times and there not. You just touch them and they flip open. Plus when you press on top theres a lot of spring in the case shell.
