It sounds good in your hands, but I'm not sure that tells us much - I expect that you can make any other saxophone sound good as well.

How does it feel to you?

How does it feel to you?
Well,
I must say at first I was very disappointed. I picked it up yesterday from a friend who works in a music store in Vienna, and I could only touch it and not play it, as it was too late. It felt like many Taiwanese horn, the springs are too firm, especially in the right hand. If you touch the keys very lightely, as I do, you find yourself not closing E or D. Bad compared to the A-Key I played in the store a week ago.
Today morning I played a warm up and had problems with low notes. I thought a pad wouldn't sit properly, but it was more a problem of pitch center. I'd never thought the Mad Meg would be so sensitive to having your MPC too far out on the cork.

In the meantime I am happy with it, and I almost have decided to keep it. It is well balanced, doesn't "do" too much.
The soundfiles are not too bad for the first day, and I'm sure, MM will age quickly (at least I hope it will).

Cheers, Guenne

Well you've managed to sound different on the two mouthpieces, which is not a trick I seem able to accomplish

With the little I could see, I looks great and sounds legit!.........as least from my end! If you got good price, keep it, It’s a good horn! Not everyone prefers me on my 66r compared to my mk6 or Yts 875 but, whenever I hear a recording of myself on it, I like it!

Hi!
I had to make the springs a little lighter, with the key height it was impossible to play for me.
I think I will my repairman have adjust the heights too, I need more center of the tone, it feels too mushy.

I had a little fun today a recorded a simple song with my 3 Tenors (Keilwerth SX90 Vintage, Mad Meg and Yanagisawa T-W020U).
I mixed up the videos with the sound files...:)
Can you guess the horns?
