Can you show us a few more pics please. Keys, tables/rollers, neck bell and so on.

Hawkes and Son stopped making saxes a loooong time ago.

They may have revived the Century name for some far eastern imports

serial number (e.g. A123xx) can help as well.

Would do Kev but at the moment the sax is in 1000 pieces all marked up and taking over the house, having looked at the hawkes and son Century tho i dont think this is one of them ,the serial is mraked as thus NO:860717
Once i have rebuilt i will post more pics, many thanks for your suggestions

cheers SAXPA (Mick)

We have Century branded saxophones over here. The ones that I have seen were all very poorly made Chinese saxophones

Thanks Milandro
It sounds like it could be as you say a poorly made chinese horn, taking into account the condition of it,eg lacquer flakes off and pillars not soldered very well,i think i might have my work cut out for me but its all a learning curve so on i go whistling while i work !!
