For Sale, Buescher 400 Alto from the late 70's.
Pseudo underslung octave key and decorative bell key guard.
Comes with:
Used mouthpiece in good condition with tooth patch;
Ligature and cap;
Neck stopper;
Crook pouch;
Solid but a little tatty case, presumed to be original, with storage compartments for crook, MP, and lidded accessories section. I've renovated the case as well as I can get it recently.
Paul Carrington did some work a few months ago to straighten a bell crease, re-cork the crook, and a general check over. Front F mechanism also fettled and re-corked. Some older pads, some newer.
Sax also thoroughly cleaned by yours truly. A labour of love!
Four tiny dings that I can make out. Two in the bow and two in the main tube. You might just be able to make some of these out in the photos below but I've struggled to photograph them. No tarnishing, just some scratching and scuffing, and a little wear to some nickel plated areas (octave key, palm keys, thumb hook) as you'd expect with a 30+ year old sax.
Plays well for me with no problems I can notice, but I'm just a beginner!
£350 collected, 5 mins from J20 M1 / J1 M6 or will courier, insured, for £25 in the UK (1-2 days).
Bank transfer please - if posting.
5% of sale price to Pete's charity.
