Does this mean that ISPs who quote fast speeds will now be able to deliver, or is the service for BT users only

we were getting 5-6Mbps 24/7 which was great. However in our quest to save cash and to avoid BT's self renewing contracts we have switched to Virgin. We were paying BT £50 a month for phone and top level broadband. Now we are on Virgin we pay £35 pm for 10Mbps broadband (of which we get 9.3Mbps) phone and tv so it seems like a great deal. still waiting for a 1st bill to confirm. :crying: (really hope Virgin's billing is better than NTL's was.)

Col.

PS. We now hate BT as they lied to us keep us in a contract. They told us we could have phone and broadband for £21 a month. I even phoned to confirm on a second occasion. 3 months later they put the dd up to £65 to cover the underpayment. They ended up appologising crediting the account to the equiv of £21 a month and releasing us from our contract. They are bad, newest letter states that all contracts are self renewing (in the small print) and offers a £1.96 discount for signing up. Beware.
