Great stuff, thanks. Among the usual gems on BBC radio3 Jazz Record Requests yesterday was Earl Bostic playing Always. Not as edgy as his later R&B flavoured stuff but still worth a listen. The whole prog is on i-player via the BBC web site, for a week

I haven't listened to Bostic for years and just what a phenominal technique he had seems to have faded from my memory.
Even if you don't like the style of music or his tone, his ability is remarkable.
