Can anyone suggest a good book of varied pieces which would last a student from grade 3-5 roughly, please?
My students all use the Mosaics book (Trinity) of studies which covers a wide range of styles right from preparatory - grade 5 in one book but I'd like them to learn some pieces with piano accompaniment as well. Content pieces, I suppose.
As I'm here in India and money doesn't grow on trees, I'm looking for books which will last a while.
Thanks all

I don't know if this helps but this year for saxophone, the ABRSM have come out with a book for 2018 to 2021 with all the pieces from the 3 lists in it for a particular grade (one book per grade).
For 2014 to 2017 a CD with all the grade pieces exists and that has each tune played with piano accompaniment and then the tunes repeat without the sax for play along. But this didn't have a single book.

This exam kit seems to be the new format with audio downloads.

That's not quite right, I've just bought the new ABRSM grade 5 book and it only has three items each from the least A, B, and C so 9 pieces, plus some sight-reading and scales.

There's a book called something like Time Pieces Vol. 2 ed. Denley, which is G4-5. I'll stick up a contents list later.

Hi Tenoorviol,

I understood all the pieces were in the book but only 3 pieces from each list had accompanying audio downloads. Is that not the case? is there only 3 pieces from each list written in the book?

The new Trinity books (only flute and clarinet) are as Tenorviol discribed. Six pieces and three "studies".

But I think I wasn't clear in my original post. I was meaning a collection of solos of approx grade 3-5 standard. Not necessarily off any exam syllabus.should have been clearer, sorry.
