the only thing it might explain that kind of wear on a Yamaha (hard) lacquer is that someone used it really a lot and in a not particular careful way.

The Kenny G problem isn`t his playing, it`s just that he chooses to record cheesy tunes, kinda like the Richard Clayderman of Soprano Sax . though to be honest I`ve probably only heard a fraction of his repertoire.. I`m learning Sop so have to admit to using those cheesy KG UTubers to try and play along to LOL ..
