The Benn Clatworthy gig at the 606 was a Fantastic night of music. Sometimes wild and then sometimes very mellow. Its like walking into west world, only this is Benn world...Everything changes!

To add to my delight, Benn was working at the 606 (& lots of his other U.K dates) with Ceceilia Coleman.

Ben Clatworthy is due to appear at Googliesjazzsupperclub, Botany bay Cricket Club, Middlesex on March 11th (I think).

He is worth going to see.

I had a great night watching Benn on the 11th. I love his music and buy all his Cd's. However, each time i see him, he seems to be getting to be more and more rude to the house band.

The house band at Googlies are very good but Clatworthy is on a different (differnt not better) wave length. At one point half way through a tune he stopped and gave instructions to the pianist in a voice heard by all the audience. I coukld see over the shoulder of the pianist and see that the sheet music was just a series of scribbles pencilled on the manuscript.

He is my favourite player but these antics are not good to watch.
