Just did a concert with a band that I fill in with. They recorded it and I played Begin the Beguine - Artie Shaw transcript on clarinet. I didn't have a separate mic so I'm not fully in front of the band in volume in lower register but most likely clearest I've done. Most of the band are my age about (69) except tenor soloist he is 84 or so. All comments read!!!:mrcool

Complete Class. I wish I could get a gig like this. How many Players do you have in Total?

Hi: Thanks for the comment. We have 5 saxes-3 trumpets-1 trombone, piano, Bass and drums. The transcripts are generally done by Dave Bird - piano. We played these in the middle of a concert band concert last week and thinking what I said about ages I think there are maybe 5 in their 50's so I hope they don't see what I wrote!!!:w00t:
Here are 2 more from the concert. On Pussywillows etc. again clarinet a little but I also was doing 1st tenor.

On Kalamazoo lead trumpet player Bil Cave is singer. This arrangement was really only for band so my clarinet part, which is melody , I basically left out till ensemble part. By the way no effects added.

I sort of am the one they call when one of the saxes can't do their monthly job. They rehearse each month a new group of dance tunes , this month it was called American Swing. Then last friday in month they play for a dance that mainly people who want ballroom etc type of dances go to.
Great fun and I love playing with them.

Nice! Very good! I was brought up with this kind of music. It brings out a lot of memories.

I can't get that link to work. I even made sure I was signed in to Dropbox.
