Well, if you want a highly personal/biased idea, I'd see if you can find a decent secondhand Yanag B900. I'm sure it's not everybody's favourite but it is mine.

+1 for John Packer, especially if you can pick up one of their ex-demo models which usually come in for about half the usual retail price......
