I'm looking for a 1950's baritone sax.

Possibly a Keilwerth, Martin or Kohlert but probably not Selmer or Conn.
Any condition and asking price considered.
I'm not in any hurry and am very content to wait for the "right" one to turn up.

If you have something please send me a private message. Thank you.

i'll need to get my pair of [Selmer] Pennsylvania baris up from my basement & photograph them both for you ;-)
The silver one is just what you're looking for ;-)

Last week I saw a silver Weltklang Low A overhere for 5000 s e k (c £ 500.00). I guess you want a Low B?

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate you telling me about the Weltklang. I'd be more interested in your "The Martin" baritone.

Andy, No one could accuse you of being a high pressure salesman !😀 Do you still have my email address ?

The Weltklang baris are not bad, but the tone is more "basson like" compared to a low Bb bari. My Martin is special for me. A killer! The toptones are not that great but low tones!! I bought that saxophone from Paul Cohen (Vintage Saxophones Revisted, Saxophone Journal) and he played my Martin for some time. It was in top condition, still is, with new pads and a good factory setup. The pads are modern with plastic resonators but same thickness as the originals. IMO; important on Martin saxes.

Selling a Conn 11M Low A
I love the sound it makes but can't justify 2 baris
Its on the Yard sale I think for £1500
They don't come up often - it used to be Pete's
Need to fund new teeth 🙂!

Dave, Thank you very much for letting me know. These Conn's have a very good reputation and I ought to be tempted but, as I said, "I'm looking for "possibly a Keilwerth, Martin or Kohlert but probably not Selmer or Conn." Cheers.
