For sale is a vintage B&H Emperor alto sax. Selling because I've gone overboard with too many nice violin purchases on eBay (I play violin too)
It's a lovely sax in a beautiful blemish free two tone bronze lacquer. Mother of peal key touches. I've recently had some work done to the sax as there were a few issues. It plays beautifully and has a typically French sound (it's a French sax and in a very similar style to the model 22's IMO) Key work and key guards bear striking similarities.
A lovely instrument with a great case to go with it too. This is a reluctant sale but I do have a shooting stars alto that I want to continue playing. I can't see too many saxes sitting around it makes me sad, so perhaps I should stop buying them!
I'm asking £275 for this lovely example and what I feel is a rarity. Never seen one like this under the Emperor name. It's free blowing and very mellow.
