Hey Everybody,

Another question, a transcribing question but a quite simple question actually the hard work allready has been done. I'm transcribing Lady Marmelade by Christina Aguilera for my coverband's brass section..

now I think of it there are 2 questions really:
  1. on 0:27 - 0:30 - there`s a sort of glissando / triller how do I communicate that on paper, what symbols? (the playing aspect is not easy but I get it done.
  2. on 0:40 to 0:44 there`s a whole note ending in a chromatic downward scale (from B to D#), is there a symbol for that?

You managed to confuse me: alot of effects there, and I just realized I don't master language well enough.
0.27 is what I would call "portamento", a generic sloping down. It is straight line after the note. Kind of \
0.40 is a Glissando. probably written with a generic snakey line similar to portamento, unless you want it to end neatly on the D#. In that case The line connects the two notes.

"Lip Trills" all over the place

I will probably edit this post after the next coffee.

Click on the above image while YOU prepare the stovetop. Quite intuitive.
I would appreciate if some indigenous speaker could enlighten us on the appropriate Anglo/American terms

Ah I see my mistake now, it`s not 0:27 but more 0:29 to 0:32, it sounds like a glissando + a triller

so it's a slide C to E (high) but each note is a triller.. it's quite difficult to play as well.

Third example of mine.
Trumpets do a lip trill.
Saxes press the RH top side key (high E).
