I can't believe how much your playing has improved over such a short time! This is so beautiful Chris, something to be really proud of! You have developed a gorgeous tone. Ok I think you got a little lost during your improv, but you got it under control very quickly indeed. Nice, very nice.

The only thing I would like to hear is to widen the range note wise. The middle register. F or G to palm D ish is what I think of as being a really sweet sound, compared to the subtone lower register of the tenor. I think this would really add a lot, if you added a few notes of the higher register (up to D not altissimo).

Just my 2 cents - but everything else is all there!

#Taz, thanks for that Pete, this is one I think will be a keeper. There are some things I like and some Hmmm! I'd say it probably sums up where I am with my playing after 3yrs, doesn't time fly when your having fun. Thanks again for the comments.

It's coming along great. Do you follow a chord sheet for your solos? It can help to find a way through a piece and lead you down avenues your ear wouldn't go. You might find playing it quickly helps you to play it slowly. There's a lovely moment in this one where you hit the wrong note and decorate it in. Made me smile. Hit some more wrong 'uns and make 'em fit. You might want to try semi tone runs to where you're going and then go past. Playing with the dynamics and beeennding it is next on the list.

#Colin, I don't know if it was decorating or trying to find the right one Follow the chord sheet for the solo's Colin, these last two tunes have both been without a run through though, press record and start playing and see where it leads to. Sometimes good sometimes not so good. Thanks for the comments as always, plus I blame you for the intro, after your direct recording from YouTube tip, I couldn't resist doing this.

a BIG plus 1 here,
time to move around and explore more of the sax range also try a bit more air through the sax to open up that sound but saying that the range you are in now is very sweet and mellow.
