Mouthpieces Anyone on here use a RIA or got one laying around?..

Longtime lurker here but I'm sure some people will recognise my username from SOTW. For some reason I've just always posted there rather than here - I guess because there is a bigger crowd on there so I figured the questions/information reach more people there.

I'm just curious as to know whether anyone on here uses or has used a RIA? I have a 5* (though it's actually a 6* in Link sizes) for tenor but am looking to get another one. Unfortunately they're pretty rare and are not easy to track down - I've made a couple of threads on SOTW discussing them and never seem to find anyone who plays one (or even has one in their drawer!)..

For me they're just in the sweet spot between a Link and a Berg (as others have said before!) - warm but also a little bit of edge when needed.

That's interesting, I've never played alto at all so have no experiences of alto RIAs. What tip opening is it?

It is marked Ria Italy and 6, no star. Tip opening at the middle of the tip is 2.2 mm. It looks a bit like a quantum, but is a bit wider. Probably because the bullet chamber goes further to the tip. Only 20 mm between the middle of the tip and the end of the bullet chamber, which is very short.
