Anyone from Madrid lurking...?

Hi.

I'm off to Madrid for spell and don't want to be without the sax too long. My options are to cart the Weltklang over with me - which means buying a case sharpish - tomorrow to be exact - hoping sax.co.uk will have one the right size, or renting a sax in Madrid.

I know there are a couple of music shops in the centre of Madrid, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of choice of instrument or options for rentals. Long shot but does anyone know whether and where I could rent a decent sax from in Madrid and any advice on studios to play in appreciated.

Hi Lorraine, I think you might find local music stores reluctant to rent to a visitor.

12 years too late, but saxtienda.com and Perales are two of the most dependable shops in Madrid. I believe they both do rentals.

That's three or four sax rental suggestions and a where to rent query in one week... Maybe there should be a Sax Rental Index somewhere?
