Hi Greg

Dawkes are based about three miles from me and are a really well known and established woodwind reseller. samg@dawkes.co.uk is the manager there and Neil Dawkes (owner) is normally based in the shop as well. They have very good credentials and I have bought a number of items from them. If you review an item online you get a 10% discount off your next purchase - whatever it is (unless in a sale). I think that the Windcraft brand may be their own brand (?). Check with an email to Sam.

Also let me know if I can help in any way.

£549 ex vat from Sam at Dawkes. That is an initial 5% discount with NO VAT as it is for export.

To TomMapfumo and ProfJames:- Thank you gentlemen for your time and effort for providing the above information. I'm still looking for something - I may be able to source a new Yamaha 255 series clarinet from Aussie a lot cheaper than from the UK or Europe which is quite surprising.

To Dave:- You must have a couple of Buffet R-13s lurking in the attic or basement of "daveysaxboy" mansions? Free to a good home?:)))

Cheers,

Greg S.

No worries Greg! I know that the exchange rate is not good for Sterling at present. I have a 24 year old son on the Gold Coast who feeds me information on a regular basis so it could be good for you to purchase either in the UK or elsewhere depending upon freight and duty charges. Let me know if you want any more assistance, although Tom seems to get some excellent pricing from his local suppliers.
