Yerp. I`m always keen to try and place a saxophone in a more modern musical environment without it sounding like you shoehorned it in"just coz you have one" and this little soundscape ( and Others too) would hold their own outwith the Sax community which is very important especially for folks like Davey who deserve a larger audience but perhaps have not yet found the Vehicle of choice yet .

Cheers clivey. Been in a lot of jazz formats with this guy going on 20 years. We have since stopped all the standards stuff and just do our own thing now. We don't get together much these days due to real life but when we do its nice. I've just started a new jazz/funk quartet with a drummer I've played with years ago. Had 4 jams and its going well. Keep it for mid week gigs as my soul is sold to my money function gigs every weekend so its nice getting back to just blowing for me.
